My kids love this program! Geographical information about our planet is right on your desktop with this software called Google Earth. Just think of it as your personal globe. Want to zoom into your own backyard? No problem. Just point and click anywhere in the world, then narrow your search through various parameters. You can view satellite images as well as learn some information from your local area. Want directions to a particular destination? Google Earth can help you with that task too
This is a cool tool and handy conversation piece. Best of all, it’s a free download!
Worst:Satellite images for some places can be up to several years old. I zoomed to my neighborhood and the images did not show my neighbor’s large swimming pool that was built three years ago.
